 Free Eye & Medical Camps:

Currently, Al-Ain International Eye Trust in collaboration witj SALAMA Welfare Organization is running free eye and medical camps at PTI and PAT sit ins, at D-Chowk,Islamabad. These camps will remain operational till the sit in continues.

Recently, on 12 Oct' 2014, Al-AIn International Eye Trust in association with Salama Welfare Organization organized for a free eye and medical camp at Batkhela,Dist. Malakand,KPK where huge numbers of locals showed up for check up.

The first such camp was organized at Sehnsa Azad Kashmir on 28th & 29th August 2003, during which we examined and treated about 1300-1500 poor and deserving eye patients and out of them 132 patient went on our hospital (Al-ain International Hospital, G-10/3 Islamabad, Pakistan) waiting list and in turn 20 of these patients had a cataract extraction with Intraocular Lens Implantation free of charge. We also provided free sight glasses to almost 200 patients and made to order 30 pairs glasses for poor students , youngster and middle age poor patients.

The second such camp was organised at Tarha Pai Oggee, Mansehra, N.W.F.P Pakistan on the 6th September 2003 during which we examined and treated about 500 poor and deserving patients during a single day and 42 cataract patients went on our cataract list, out of which 20 patients had free cataract extraction with Intraocular Lens Implantation free of charge. We also provided free sight glasses to about 200 patients.

The third camp was organised at Pabbi, Peshawar, N.W.F.P Pakistan on the 17th March 2004 during which we examined and treated more then 500 poor and deserving patients during a single day and 32 cataract patients went on our cataract list. We also provided free sight glasses to almost 250 patients

The fourth camp was organised at Chaksawari, Azad Kashmir on the 27th, 28th & 29th November 2004,during which we examined and treated more then 407 poor and deserving patients during a single day and 79 cataract patients went on our cataract list. We also provided free sight glasses to almost 200 patients and made to order 19 pairs of glasses for poor students , youngster and middle age poor patients. We also distributed clothes imported by the trust from UK among poor and deserving patients and local people.

The fifth camp was organised at Murid, Chakwal, Punjab Pakistan on the 2nd January 2005 during which we examined and treated more then 400 poor and deserving patients during a single day and 44 cataract patients went on our cataract list. We also provided free sight glasses to almost 200 patients and made to order 36 glasses for poor students , youngster and middle age poor patients. We also distributed clothes imported by the trust from UK among poor and deserving patients and local people.

TOTAL CHAKWAL CAMP COST:

For this reason we have now bought a new Carl Zeiss Operating Microscope VISU 200 for £25,000 from Carl Zeiss UK and appealing everybody to donate generously towards its cost since thousands and thousands of poor patients suffering from complicated eye diseases would benefit from our expertise skill which would definitely require a top of the range operating microscope.

From March 2005 we hope to run our modern 50 beds hospital called Al-ain International Hospital at Islamabad, Pakistan on a regular basis and add other specialities in addition to eye department. From there onwards we are planning to establish more such model hospitals through out Pakistan with the help of government of Pakistan to benefit poor & reach patients alike at their door steps.
